Upon encountering the concept of “Partnership Reframed,” I was immediately captivated by the prospect of implementing this innovative approach. This motivation prompted me to delve into how this redefined perspective on partnerships could actively contribute to:
- Advancements in Community-driven Development,
- Promotion of Social Justice,
- Application of Feminist Practices,
- Facilitation of Social Change Progress.
All of these aspects find their expression through the dynamic lens of adult education.

This workshop promises a wealth of insights for attendees, including myself, such as:
- Discovering how Cooperative Capacity can predict partnership effectiveness.
- Developing strategies for boosting partnership collaboration, performance, and skills transfer using Cooperative Capacity.
- Exploring the impact of different cooperative states on stakeholder partnerships and project performance.
Moreover, this workshop will equip participants with the tools to evaluate existing partnership management, anticipate potential partnership performance, and develop strategies to elevate collaboration and impact within partnerships and stakeholder ecosystems. These efforts will be guided by the application of expertise in areas including:
- Advocacy for agency, equity, and justice through a feminist lens,
- Implementing community-led approaches to address climate change,
- Elevating livelihoods and markets,
- Integrating theory and practice of citizen-led development based on assets.
Personally, my aim in adopting this renewed perspective of Partnership Reframed is to empower individuals and organizations committed to sustainable and equitable development. I plan to achieve this by furnishing leadership development opportunities tailored for emerging as well as established leaders.
Drawing from my experience with FGCL 2022 and connecting it with the forthcoming workshop, my goal is to redefine concepts such as:
- Applying this understanding to leadership skills that bolster sustainable, community-driven, equitable development, led by those most affected by developmental initiatives.
- Incorporating this understanding into a wide range of interactive adult education techniques/ methodologies.
- Integrating this understanding into the creation or adaptation of innovative practices for planning, monitoring, and evaluating asset-based development projects.
- Utilizing this understanding for self-directed research and learning objectives, including the application of action research methods or inquiry-based approaches for communal learning within organizations and communities.
- Making tangible contributions to sustainable and equitable communities through the lens of this perspective.
- Participating in knowledge sharing, networking, and engaging in multi-stakeholder processes on both national and global scales, underpinned by this perspective point.
- Engaging in ongoing collaborative learning to address current development issues and trends.
Throughout the #cooperativecapacitypartners workshop, a collaborative relationship is fostered among facilitators and participants to draw out lessons and insights from their rich and diverse experiences. This collective sharing and co-creation of knowledge serve as the foundation of this workshop’s ethos.
